Biographical Information

Yuki Oto signed with the Nankai Hawks in 1954, and he hit .138/.200/.185 in 80 games in his first season. He played 111 games with a .200/.231/.347 batting line mainly as a pinch-runner in 1955, and he scored 27 runs with 13 steals while only getting 15 hits. Oto was 4-for-20 in 97 games in 1956, and he went 0-for-2 in 24 games in 1957 then he announced his retirement. He had 55 career runs to 28 hits, getting 172 plate appearances in 312 contests. He stole 18 bases in 25 tries.
