Biographical Information[edit]

Yuki Miyazaki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.

Miyazaki was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 3rd round of the 2010 NPB draft, and he was 8-for-35 in his first season. He crushed his first career homer against Takahiro Fujioka on September 29, and he was the first player in NPB history whose first homer was a leadoff homer on the first pitch of the entire game. Miyazaki played 53 games with a .223/.331/.273 batting line in 2013, but he only got 5 at-bats in 2014. Miyazaki then hit .252/.324/.298 in 2015, and he had a 10-for-42 record in 2016. His batting line was .270/.303/.394 in 2017, and he crushed 3 homers with a .238/.366/.381 batting line in 2018. However, Miyazaki was 3-for-23 in 2019 and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Miyazaki hit .240/.322/.327 with 139 hits and 8 homers in 8 seasons in NPB.
