Biographical Information[edit]
Yuki Kono represented Japan in the 2002 World University Baseball Championship. Starting in left, he hit .320/.393/.360 for the Bronze Medalists, with a team-high seven runs in seven games. He was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 8th round the 2002 NPB draft, and he was 2-for-5 in 2003. He went 5-for-20 in 30 games in 2004, but he only got 17 more at-bats with the big club before announced his retirement in 2008.
