Biographical Information

Yoshitaka Isomura has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Isomura was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 5th round of the 2010 NPB draft, and he spent his first five seasons primarily in the NPB Farm Leagues; he only got 5 at-bats combined for the top team. Isomura was 5-for-31 in 2016, and he went 8-for-34 in 2017. Isomura then hit .215/.279/.278 in 2018, and he played 65 games with a .278/.307/.472 batting line in 2019 as Hiroshima's backup catcher behind Tsubasa Aizawa. However, he lost his spot after Shogo Sakakura shined in 2020, and he only got 48 at-bats that season. Isomura was 6-for-35 in 2021, and he played 43 games in 2022 with a .237/.293/.360 after Sakakura spent some time as a third baseman. Sakakura was moved back to the catcher spot in 2023, so Isomura only got 38 at-bats combined in the next two seasons.
