Biographical Information[edit]
Yoshio Tani played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 4 years.
Tani signed with the Kurowashi club in 1940, and he hit .196/.291/.249 in 88 games in his first season. He played 56 games with a .143/.189/.171 batitng line in 1941, and he was 13-for-78 in 1942. Tani then enlisted to the military and missed the next five years. He returned with the Kyuei Flyers in 1948, and he batted .239/.296/.313 with 6 triples. That was his last season as a professional player.
Overall, Tani hit .198/.272/.251 with 143 hits and 11 triples in 4 seasons in NPB.
