Biographical Information

Yoshio Saito signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1957, and he only played one game in his first season. He had a 5.54 ERA in 5 games in 1958, and he recorded a 3.00 ERA in 7 appearances in 1959. Saito allowed 9 runs in 7 innings in 1960, and he was turned into an outfielder. He went 5-for-37 in 1962, but he only played 3 games in 1963 and he announced his retirement.
