Biographical Information

Yofrec Diaz has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Diaz signed with the Yokohama BayStars in 2020, and he went 1-2 with a 7.90 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues. He had a 2-1 record with a 2.37 ERA in 2021, then he underwent Tommy John surgery and missed the entire 2022 season. Diaz returned in 2023, and his ERA was 6.23 in 5 appearances. He also pitched 7 games with a 9.00 ERA for the Cardenales de Lara in the winter. Diaz improved to a 1.80 ERA in 35 relief outings in 2024, and he finally got a chance for the big club. He debuted on June 8 against the Softbank Hawks, and he pitched 4 2/3 shutout innings combined in 7 appearances for the top team. Diaz was 1-0 with a 6.23 ERA in Lara in the winter, and his ERA rose to 7.23 in 5 games in 2025. The BayStars released him after that season.
