Yeshiva University is considered to be a center of Modern Orthodox Judaism, combining religious and secular studies. The school fielded its first baseball team in 2006. However, that team has not been particularly successful on the field, putting together a losing streak of exactly 100 games between 2022 and 2025. The streak ended with a defeat of Lehman College in the second game of a doubleheader on April 8th, with Lehman having won the opener to end its own losing streak of 42 games, dating back to 2023.
Bob Tufts taught here after his playing career.
