Biographical Information

Yasuo Ishii was an outfielder who represented Japan in the 1998 Baseball World Cup, batting .222/.349/.278 with 7 walks in 10 games; he fielded .933 as the starter in left. Only Yusuke Nishizawa had more walks for Japan. He played for Nippon Steel Yahata in the Industrial League after high school. He also represented Japan in the 2004 Haarlemse Honkbalweek.
