Biographical Information

Yasuhiro Kita was drafted by the Taiyo Whales in the 4th round of the 1979 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm League in his first four seasons. He was 1-for-4 in 12 games in 1985, and he led the Eastern League in steals in 1986. Kita was traded to the Nippon Ham Fighters for cash in 1987, and he only played one more game before announced his retirement in 1988.
