Biographical Information[edit]

Yasmine Derbal has played for the French women's national team.

She had represented France in numerous softball events by the time she joined their baseball team in 2022. [1] She had also played junior college softball in the US. [2] In the 2022 European Women's Championship, she played second and hit 5th in their opener against the Netherlands. She was retired by Merle Langevoord her first time up but with the game 5-5 in the 7th and final inning, she singled off Langevoord and an error on the play scored the game-winner. She hit .273/.348/.545 with 5 runs and 4 RBI in 4 games for the champs as they advanced to the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup; in the field, she was at .958 between 2B, C and 1B and allowed 5 steals in 6 tries. She tied for 9th in runs (with Angélique André, Gabriella Sassoli and Marjorie Brunel), tied for 6th in RBI, tied for 6th in total bases and was 4th with 18 PO (between Anouk Vergunst and Amy Trask). After batting .285/.378/.463 as a sophomore in softball [4], she did well in minor league softball in Italy in 2024. [5]
