Biographical Information

Uta Sakaguchi has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Sakaguchi was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 2021 NPB draft. He hit .164/.207/.203 in 64 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022, and he went 1-for-6 with the big club. Sakaguchi then had a .201/.247/.286 batting line in 2023, and he hit .196/.266/.343 in 2024; he didn't reach the big club in those seasons. Sakaguchi struggled again in the minors as his batting line was .193/.253/.281, and he played one game for the big club.
