Biographical Information[edit]
Tsuyoshi Furuya was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 7th round of the 1996 NPB draft, and he was 1-for-14 in 1998. He had a 7-for-32 record in 1999, and he went 3-for-17 in 2000. Furuya only played 3 games in 2001, and he collected 7 hits in 21 at-bats in 2002. However, he only got 11 at-bats in 2003, and he announced his retirement in 2004. He later coached the Nagasaki Saints from 2009 to 2010 and Mie Three Arrows in 2011.
