Biographical Information[edit]
Toshiyuki Nakamura played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Nakamura signed with the Taiyo Whales in 1955, and he went 5-for-36 in his first season. He had a .251/.292/.309 batting line in 1956, then he slumped to .190/.246/.240 in 1957. Nakamura crushed a career-high 9 homers with a .211/.273/.357 batting line in 1958, and he hit .185/.225/.291 in 89 games in 1959. Akihito Kondo took his spot at second base in 1960, and he went 7-for-57 that season. Nakamura failed to return to the top team in 1961, and he announced his retirement
Overall, Nakamura hit .204/.252/.295 with 206 hits and 15 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
