Biographical Information

Toshio Iwahashi signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows when they were founded in 1950, and he hit .251/.320/.350 in 98 games in his first season. He also hit the first walk-off hit in Kokutetsu's history. He slumped to .194/.242/.242 in 1951, and he announced his retirement after having a .175/.224/.206 batting line in 1952.

Overall, Iwahashi hit .223/.284/.297 with 123 hits and 4 homers in 3 seasons in NPB.
