Biographical Information

Toshiharu Moriuchi was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 5th round of the 2011 NPB draft, and he notched 16 holds with a 4.01 ERA in 56 games in 2012. He pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings in the 2012 Nippon Series Game 1, but he allowed a 2-run double to Ken Kato in Game 5. The Yomiuri Giants beat the Fighters in 5 games. Moriuchi's ERA was 7.00 in 5 games in 2013, and he pitched 4 1/3 shutout innings in 2014. He only pitched 2 innings in 2015, and he announced his retirement.
