Biographical Information

Toshifumi Ito was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 4th round of the 1983 NPB draft, and he hit .256/.310/.564 in 34 games in his first season. He recorded a .250/.283/.455 batting line in 19 games in 1985, and he only got 29 at-bats combined in the next three seasons. The Carp traded him to the Daiei Hawks for cash in 1989, and he played 49 games with a .220/.291/.346 batting line in 1990 then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Ito hit .226/.285/.393 with 54 hits in 6 seasons in NPB.
