Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsuya Iida was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 6th round of the 2014 NPB draft, and he had a 2.65 ERA in 16 games for the big club in his first season. He saved 10 games in the minors, tying Mike Zagurski and Tsuyoshi Ishizaki for the Western League lead. He only pitched 2 games in 2016, and he allowed 8 runs in 7 innings in 2017. Iida's ERA was 6.23 in 14 relief outings in 2018, and he announced his retirement in 2019.
