Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsuo Moriguchi signed with the Daiei Stars in 1955, and he was 3-6 with a 2.53 ERA in his first season. He went 5-18 with a 2.97 ERA in 1956, and he was 5th in losses in the Pacific League (3 behind Yasuo Yonekawa) and 9th in appearances (tied with Yoshinobu Uemura). Moriguchi had a 4.65 ERA with a 0--7 record in 1957, and he went to the Hankyu Braves in 1958. However, his ERA was 5.06 in 16 relief outings there, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Morikawa went 8-32 with a 3.22 ERA, struck out 219 and pitched 443 1/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
