Biographical Information[edit]
Terukatsu Tashiro signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1953, and he recorded a 5.00 ERA in 4 games in 1954. He went 1-2 with a 3.68 ERA in 1955, and he was 2-3 with a 2.89 ERA in 1956. Tashiro had a 3-1 record with a 2.478 ERA in 1957, and he only pitched 2 games in 1958 and he announced his retirement. He then became an umpire of the Central League from 1959 to 1969, and he worked 930 games in his career. Tashiro worked 4 Nippon Series (1964, 1966, 1967 and 1968) and 2 All-Star Games (1964 and 1966).
