Can this be updated in advance? I try to do the day's "Today in Baseball" template a day ahead of time so it's ready for people who log in at 2 AM. If the Featured Birthday can be handled in the same way, I'd be interested in finding out how. - --Mischa 12:28, 13 February 2007 (EST)

I've replaced a few dead players from the list but there might be more. Does someone want to go player-by-player. Is there any way to draw up an alert system to know when someone is dead and needs to be yanked? - --Mischa 21:05, 29 November 2008 (EST)

Significance of subject

Should we be trying to have one of the more noteworthy people born on each day as the person listed? AutomaticStrikeout 19:13, 11 February 2013 (EST)

I think people will look up those pages regularly anyhow. It's neat to find out more about some of the more obscure players as well. Overall, I think a balance of stars, everyday players and cup-of-coffee guys would be ideal. - --Mischa 19:31, 11 February 2013 (EST)

It's all done manually. Once a player is in the list, his name comes up every year until someone changes it (like you have been doing). The important thing is to change names of persons who have since died. Philippe (talk) 10:14, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
