Biographical Information[edit]
Teiichi Kinoshita signed with the Hanshin club in 1941, and he went 4-4 with a 1.58 ERA in his first season. He only pitched one inning in 1942, and he was turned into a second baseman. Kinoshita hit .232/.310/.271 in 61 games that season, and he left the team. After spending several years in the Industrial League, Kinoshita signed with the Nagoya Dragons in 1953 and he hit .266/.346/.381 in 66 games, above the league OPS of 673 in a pitcher's era. He recorded a .259/.328/.362 batting line in 1954, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Kinoshita hit .234/.314/.301 with 104 hits in 4 seasons in NPB.
