Biographical Information

Tatsuo Ota was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 4th round of the 1982 NPB draft, but he didn't reach the big club and the Carp released him in 1987. He then signed with the Samsung Lions, and he was 0-3 with a 7.07 ERA in 1988. Ota returned to Japan in 1990 with the Daiei Hawks, but he still didn't get a chance with the top team, and he announced his retirement.
