Biographical Information

Tatsuhito Kato was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 2000 NPB draft, and he recorded a 4.78 ERA in 16 games in 2011. He was 0-4 with a 4.89 ERA in 2002, then he improved to a 1.83 ERA in 19 relief outings in 2003. Kato's ERA was 3.60 in 23 appearances in 2004, but he missed the entire 2005 season due to elbow injury and he announced his retirement. He later scouted for the Fighters, signing Ryusei Kawano, Tatsuki Mizuno and Yuki Umebayashi.
