Biographical Information

Tappei Tanioka was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 3rd round of the 2016 NPB draft; the scout was Takahiro Aoki. He allowed 8 runs in 6 innings in 2017, and he pitched 25 games with a 5.76 ERA in 2018. However, Tanioka failed to return to the big club due to a right shoulder injury, and he announced his retirement in 2023.
