Biographical Information

Takumi Sakamoto has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Sakamoto was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Takayuki Saito. He had a 1.76 ERA in 8 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, but his ERA rose to 8.10 in 11 games in 2024. Sakamoto bounced back with a 3.40 ERA in 17 games in 2025, and he also pitched a shutout inning for the big club.
