Biographical Information[edit]

Takeyoshi Kiori played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.

Kiori signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1955, and he hit .293/.324/.379 in his first season. He slumped to .186/.227/.240 in 1956, then he had a .218/.249/.259 batting line in 1957. Kiori played 47 games with a .229/.294/.303 batting line in 1958, and his batting line fell to .181/.213/.208 in 1959. He was 18-for-77 in 1960, and he went to the Toei Flyers. However, Kiori didn't get many chances with his new team, and he only got 20 at-bats for the top team before he announced his retirement in 1963.

Overall, Kiori hit .225/.261/.285 with 200 hits and 2 homers in 8 seasons in NPB.
