Biographical Information

Takeshi Sato was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the first round of the 1992 NPB draft after they lost the lottery for the rights to Tomohito Ito, and he had a 6.57 ERA in 13 games in 1993. His ERA was 4.91 in 5 games in 1995, and the Carp released him in 1996. Sato signed with the Yakult Swallows, and he pitched 3 games with a 3.38 ERA in 1997. He announced his retirement after that season.
