Takeshi Miyamoto has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Miyamoto represented Japan in the 2017 Universiade. He won 6 Best Nine awards and 3 batting titles in the Kinki University Baseball League, and the Yakult Swallows selected him in the 6th round of the 2017 NPB draft. He was 9-for-41 in 2018, and he went 6-for-42 in 2019. Miyamoto filled the second base hole after Tetsuto Yamada injured in 2020, and he hit .274/.361/.370 with 2 homers in 94 games. He recorded a .286/.395/.386 batting line in 62 games (limited to 92 PA with Yamada back) in 2021, and he went 1-for-3 in the 2021 Nippon Series. The Swallows beat the Orix Buffaloes in 6 games, and Miyamoto won his first title.
The Osaka native batted .254/.331/.333 in 2022, and he was 2-for-9 in the 2022 Nippon Series; the Swallows lost to the Buffaloes this time in 7 games. He then played 65 games with a .222/.368/.278 batting line in 2023, and he hit .259/.313/.279 in 2024.
