Biographical Information[edit]
Takeo Kimata signed with the Dai Tokyo club in 1936, and he hit .216/.310/.216 in 13 games in his first season. He was the first player in NPB history to get three hits in a game, doing so on April 29. Kimata had a .152/.287/.203 batting line in 26 games in the fall season, and he announced his retirement.
