Biographical Information[edit]
Takehiko Ueda played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 4 years.
Ueda signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1950, and he hit .245/.277/.313 in 94 games in his first season. He played 79 games with a .217/.234/.301 batting line in 1951, and he recorded a .209/.250/.289 batting line in 1952. He stayed in the minors for the entire 1953 season, and he went to the newly-founded Takahashi Unions. Ueda had a .176/.264/.222 batting line in 77 games in 1954, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Ueda hit .219/.257/.292 with 198 hits and 8 homers in 4 seasons in NPB.
