Biographical Information

Takayuki Nishijima signed with the Daiei Hawks in 1990, and he hit .269/.380/.372 in 31 games for the Salinas Spurs in 1990. He also played 135 games with a .271/.385/.304 batting line for the Spurs in 1992 (missing the California League top-ten in walks by one, with 74), but he only got 37 at-bats combined for the Hawks before he announced his retirement in 2000.
