Biographical Information[edit]
Takashi Yagi signed with the Hiroshima Carp in 1963, and he pitched 12 games with a 6.48 ERA in his first season. He recorded a 7.20 ERA in 5 appearances in 1964, and he was turned into an outfielder. Yagi was 2-for-12 in 1965, and he went 2-for-4 in 1966. He only played 7 games in 1967, and he pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings in 1968. Yagi didn't return to the big club in 1969, and he announced his retirement. His nephew Kenjiro Nomura played and managed in NPB.
