Biographical Information

Takashi Ogihara signed with the Taiyo Whales in 1950, and he only pitched 3 games in his first season. He was 6-9 with a 4.67 ERA in 1951, and he slumped to 1-6 with a 5.91 ERA in 1952. Ogihara had a 5.14 ERA in 1953, and he allowed 10 runs in 11 1/3 innings in 1954 then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Ogihara was 9-19 with a 5.18 ERA, struck out 66 and pitched 283 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
