Biographical Information

Takashi Kimura played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.

Kimura was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 1980 NPB draft, and he hit .207/.281/.276 in 100 games in 1981. He was mainly used as a defensive replacement in the outfield, and he only got 29 at-bats. Kimura then shared the starting left fielder spot with Kazuhiko Okaji in 1982, and he had a .234/.276/.315 batting line in 112 games. He improved to .303/.329/.395 in 1983, and he played 91 games with a .224/.305/.329 batting line in 1984. Kimura slumped to .156/.222/.156 in 1985, and he didn't got another at-bat before he announced his retirement in 1987. He was the minor league fielding coach for the Fighters from 1989 to [[1993 NPB|1993],and he scouted for them. Kimura also coached Aichi Gakuin University from 2015 to 2019.

Overall, Kimura hit .236/.288/.318 with 96 hits and 6 homers in 7 seasons in NPB.
