Biographical Information

Takahiro Kamijo signed with the Daimai Orions in 1959, and he had a 1.38 ERA in 10 games in his first season. He only pitched one game in 1960, and he was turned into a shortstop. Kamijo won the batting title of the Eastern League at .424 in 1961, but his batting line was .140/.151/.160 in 53 plate appearances for the big club. He then played 72 games with a .188/.212/.250 batting line in 1962 as the backup to Yasunao Tsujimoto, and he only got 11 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1964.
