Biographical Information[edit]

Taiki Hamada has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Hamada was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Shinji Matsuda. He spent his first season primarily in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he only got 5 at-bats for the top team. Hamada crushed 3 homers with a .200/.238/.330 batting line in 2020, and he hit back-to-back-to-back homers with Nori Aoki and Tetsuto Yamada on September 20. It was the 5th time in NPB history that a team started a game with back-to-back-to-back homers. Hamada recorded a .206/.238/.383 batting line in 2022 after missing the 2021 season due to injuries, and he played 103 games in 2023 with a .234/.290/.361 batting line. He was 2-for-26 in 2024, so he stayed in the minors for most of the season.
