Biographical Information

Tadao Yokoyama was 16-26 with a 2.91 ERA in his college career, and he also completed a no-hitter against Tokyo University. The Yomiuri Giants then picked him in the first round of the 1971 NPB draft, and he went 1-3 with a 3.72 ERA in 1972. Yokoyama's ERA was 6.00 in 10 games in 1973, then he only pitched 6 games with a 5.25 ERA in 1974. He improved to 8-7 with a 3.41 ERA in 1975, but his ERA rose to 7.11 in 14 games in 1976. Yokoyama moved to the Lotte Orions after spending a season in the minors, but his ERA was 9.00 in 5 games then announced his retirement.
