Biographical Information

Tadao Shibano signed with the Taiyo Whales in 1957, and he hit .185/.241/.235 in 43 games in his first season. He played a career-high 90 games as Taiyo's starting shortstop in 1958, but he struggled again as his batting line was .173/.239/.284. Shibano then batted .086/.209/.155 in 35 games in 1959, and he was 3-for-21 in 1960. He had a 3-for-32 record in 1961, then he announced his retirement in 1962.

Overall, Shibano hit .156/.233/.244 with 68 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
