Biographical Information[edit]
Tadao Maekawa played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.
Maekawa signed with the Nankai Hawks in 1954, and he hit .291/.329/.340 in 61 games in his first season. He then jumped to the Tombo Unions, and he had a .234/.301/.298 batting line with 26 steals in 1955. Maekawa then hit .220/.275/.289 in 1956, and he went to the Toei Flyers after the Unions were expelled. He struggled again as he recorded a .213/.268/.248 batting line in 1957, and he batted .218/.271/.275 in 103 games in 1958 then he announced his retirement.
Overall, Maekawa hit .228/.285/.286 with 387 hits and 10 homers in 5 seasons in NPB.
