Biographical Information

Tadamichi Kawachi completed the first perfect game of the Tohto University Baseball League against the Komazawa University in 1950, and he also won a batting title in 1953. He signed with the Osaka Tigers in 1956,, but he only got 3 at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1957. Kawachi coached Nihon University from 1966 to 1977, winning one All-Japan University Championship and one Meiji-Jingu Baseball Tournament title.
