Biographical Information[edit]
Sumiyoshi Kadota was drafted by the Nankai Hawks in the 3rd round of the 1970 NPB draft, and he recorded a 3.75 ERA in 12 games in 1972. His ERA was 4.20 in 6 appearances in 1973, and he only pitched one more game before the Hawks traded him with Hiroaki Fukushi to the Hiroshima Carp for Motoyasu Kaneshiro in 1976. Kadota allowed 2 runs in 3 innings in 1977, and he announced his retirement in 1979.
