Stuyvesants of New York
The Stuyvesants of New York competed as members of the National Association of Base Ball Players as early as 1858 according to Marshall D. Wright's book The National Association of Base Ball Players (1857-1870) and existed as club as early as 1855 according to Bruce Allardice. Despite there being a town in upstate New York called Stuyvesant, it seems as though this club was actually based mostly in New York City.
The club seems to have played as the home team at the Metropolitan Grounds at Hamilton Square on at least one occasion.
