Biographical Information[edit]
Steve Olson was a star player at Valley City State University but did not play professionally.
He was an assistant coach at Northern State University in 1991 and head coach at Jamestown College (1992-1999) and the University of Minnesota Crookston (2000-2007). He then became assistant football coach at Michigan Tech (he had been assistant football coach at his various baseball stops) then became their head football coach from 2017–2022. He returned to Valley City State to work as assistant Athletic Director.
