Biographical Information

Souji Tanaka was drafted by the Daiei Hawks in the first round of the 1999 NPB draft, and he allowed 3 runs in 2/3 of an inning in 2000. He missed two seasons due to left elbow surgery, and he pitched 2 games in each of 2002 and 2003 seasons. Those were his only appearances in the major league before he announced his retirement in 2004.
