Biographical Information

Sota Ikeya was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 5th round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Taishi Nakagawa. He pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings for the big club in 2021, and he pitched 6 games with a 3.38 ERA in 2022. He didn't reach the big club in 2023, and he was released. Ikeya then signed with the Kufu HAYATE Ventures Shizuoka.
