Biographical Information[edit]
Soji Watanuki signed with the Tokyo Senators when they were founded in 1936, and he went 13-for-42 in the spring season. He only played 3 games in the fall season, and he recorded a .188/.280/.248 batting line in 45 games in the 1937 spring season, then he played 22 games with a .136/.296/.182 batting line in the fall season. Watanuki hit .238/.314/.294 in the 1938 spring season, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Watanuki hit .207/.303/.274 with 77 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
