Skip Johnson is a college coach.
Johnson pitched at Ranger College for two years, then transferred to North Texas State University. When that school eliminated baseball in 1988, Johnson transferred to Pan American University for his senior year in 1989.
Johnson was pitching coach at Navarro College in 1991-1993 [1], then head coach in 1994-2006. He moved to the University of Texas as pitching coach from 2007 to 2016.
Johnson was pitching coach at University of Oklahoma in 2017, then became head coach in 2018. He led the school to the 2022 College World Series, finishing second.
