Biographical Information

Shuichi Furukawa represented Japan in the 2005 Asia Junior Championship. He was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the first round of the 2009 NPB draft, and he had a 3.20 ERA in 33 appearances in 2010. He pitched 12 games with a 1.69 ERA in 2011, but his ERA rose to 10.93 in 10 games in 2012. He only pitched 8 games combined for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2015.
