Biographical Information

Shu Sugahara was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 4th round of the 2016 NPB draft, and he had a 5.06 ERA in 29 appearances in 2017. His ERA was 7.33 in 16 games in 2018, and he went 1-3 with a 4.08 ERA in 2019. However, Sugahara only pitched 1 more game for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2021.
